I would like to create a to-scale replication of the California coastline from just north of Los Angeles all the way to Mexico, and also have quite a few miles inland in my model - is a way to create tiled maps coming in the next version of GeoControl?

Also, as I responded to a previous post, the ability to have multiple terrain types in the same map would be needed definitely. A large portion of my terrain is smaller mountains, however I'll need some coastline rocks and formations that just aren't the same as would be elsewhere on my map.

Perhaps using isolines or a new vector "shape" effect to give erosion and effects to a select area?

If this is coming in a future update, when do you think it will be available? Thanks!!

Sounds great Johannes, I can get started developing a good pipeline between GeoControl and CryEngine in the meantime. From what I can tell the tiled terrain isn't even supported in CryEngine yet.

I am currently on my honeymoon in Europe so I haven't had a chance to play with GeoControl just yet, is there a way to get the height-maps and textures that are generated to high resolution tiff format? What I could do is start creating landscapes and then manually stitch them together in Photoshop, smoothing out the edges and making sure they match.

Thanks again

That works, I've done it with up to 16 terrains.
