Here is a small exercise in Bryce photorealism. Terrain made with Geocontrol and exported as pgm file. Rendered in Bryce and postprocessed in Photoshop (clouds, b/w etc.) ;)

very impressive!!
It shows, it is not the software, but the artist!

hmm.... (thanks for the compliment :o ) but for me it shows first of all, how necessary a good tool like Geocontrol for realistic scenery is.
The import to Bryce worked very well and the Bryce textures came out very nicely.
In Vue for ex. it is – at least for me – very very hard to get this kind of realistic texture.
However Geocontrol is amazing! ;)

Well, than thank you.
And I agree, texturing in Vue is not so easy.

Hi,
Indeed a photo-realistic image.
I am glad that I am not the only one who believes that Bryce together with GeoControl make excellent friends for creating stunning landscapes.

Congrats, I'd never have guessed that this is a Bryce-render! But I agree, a tool like GC is more than necessary if you want a good scenery.
