After loading a .GCS made with the 1.13 version the terrain is not centered; have to drag it to the left because the "fit" button only moves it slightly.
Another observation: While loading the project layers the progress bar at the bottom sometimes shrinks instead of expands.... Never noticed this with V 1.13.
Edit: The resulting terrain differs very much from the original. Looks like the filters are interpreted differently. Tested this by loading the same .GCS with both versions.

I have this too with some project files, with others not. I will look, why this is so.
The shrinking is ok, well, I will see, whether it sometimes keep on shrinking or not. At time the shrinking means: First analyse, then erode, so one run up one run down.
First and main difference is caused by the different noise: means, the random part is even with keep seed not the same as with the old version. This is caused by the increasing of the max terrain size to 8192.
Next: If you had a smoothing in the old file, you have to define the selection for the new filter system. A smoothing filter is added, but the selection not. So for valley smoothing use a height selection, for slope smoothing a slope selection.
At all: GC will get some more filters, mostly displacement, a new height correction, as large extra filter, with graphical interface (like Terraformer has), a new erosion probably, for thermal erosion (GC will not produce those flatten thermal erosion).
So, do not spend to much time, looking for your old presets, with the new features, the terrains will be much better.

Thermal erosion sounds like a gem but any thoughts on Alluvial Erosion that produces alluvial fans?

Sorry, no real thoughts about alluvial erosion at time.
