Slowly I'm getting an idea of what's possible with this new tool; a river(bed) is a piece of cake now!
Two Isolines and one Selector active.
Couldn't post an image of the resulting render because as it seems I souped up most of my portion of server disk space.

Important: The file format of the isolines will change, and in the next build this islines will not load. Sorry, but I think, with the next build, the format will stay, even if there will be many additions.
May be, your image size was to high, I had limited that to 250 KB for jpg.
Here a canyon of mine

"the next build this islines will not load"
By that time I'll know how to handle Isolines and can (re-)create them.;)
It wasn't the file size of 86 KB.

Grandcanyon2: Isolines for the advanced! Wow!
I assumed the isolines had to 'envelop' parts of the terrain but now I see that's not so, a simple line (like a brush stroke) works too. Thank you for this lesson!

this vBulletin is really running me crazy, the administration is a pain!
I will have a look, what is now going wrong and give more space for images.

I have found that setting. It was limited to 1MB, for all, also for me.
I have encreased it to 10 MB, for all users and to 50 MB for tester.

I've been tooling around with the isolines- I thihk I'm *finally* beginning to understand what the heck is going on. I think they've got a lot of potential- some of the terrains you can create are really cool! :)
I've still yet to work out how to do controlled contours with them but I'm working on it...
//edit: The two heights for an iso give the heights and begin and end of stroke. Do to get contours set the begin and end the same height. (If you had a contour mode :) this would be automatically set for every line)
It's important to select an iso before making any changes.
