Odd one this.
The render surface can be out of sync with the heightmap. In the pic, the render is rotated
90 deg clockwise. In the renderthe river should flow from left to right not top to bottom.
I'm not entirely sure the precise causes of this but I did reimport the ungenerated terrain after generating the shaders. I made no changes to the filters.
I've just thought- what's happening is: I created the river selection and shader AFTER I reimported the terrain. THe camera is set to a left view so it looks like GC is overriding the camera position info for the old set of shaders in favour of the new shader- could be that.

Also, seperately-
if you press the Render > Camera > Save Image button when in 2D mode, it takes a shot of the last render rather than the 2D view- I'm guessing you've left thids in preperation for the 2D renderer...

Yes, it is the reason I suggested because I deleted the river shader. Then changed camera to default bottom position, then recreated the shader and it renders fine again from any angle.

It is a bug. Change a setting, so that the shader is new caclulated (a very little change for the alpha value for example) and it fits again.

I did not want to make the 2D preview to save.
