Bug fixes:

infinite peaks in render
flowselection did not work with noise
top left corner was always erodet
"Thin flows Deep" did not work correct with selections
new erosions were missing in the filter change menu
slider "alpha power" was not actualized, when shader was changed
seed was not taken, if "keep seed" was checked, before the seed was changed manually
the nasty "start on empty terrain" came always when switiching to isoline panel and features greater than zero

Improvements:
Renderengine was improved - better light and shadow calculation, reduced grain by using normal smoothing

Added:
Slider "Ambient contrast", to set the contrast in the shadowed areas (try that slider!)

Spring tool
First part of the river tools implemented, the "spring" tool. You'll find it beside the isoline panel. This is a very basic implementation.

Push the "Spring" button, then place the springs, set the power to the half range, and push generate. You will see, that the flows find there way, even in a bit rougher terrains. And the flows keep on flowing even in very low sloped areas.
Use the random slider in very smooth terrains or to add a more curvey behavior. But the flows then make break. The "Area" slider produce additonal springs in the area around. Be careful on very smooth terrains (noise strength to zero), without random value, the whole terrain might be rubbed and GC seems to hang.

Have fun

My first impressions of the Spring tool are WOW! I especially like the Area parameter. I've rivers flowing right across my terrain- I'll post some shots later when I get a chance. You can even create canyons with this tool :)
Great work Johannes!

That is great to here.
This is really a first implementation. The "area" function is improved meanwhile, for example, the springs are not shown allways, you have to click on the terrain panel and then again on the "Special tools" panel to get them shown.
I had found, that I tried to produce rivers with erosions, and that is wasting time. I thought, may be others try the same, without success, and so this very early rough form. More to show, how rivers are to produce, and so to give the erosions the place they belong.

Digger is an excellent improvement: bravo!
