Hi,

I used two GC2 terrains for my image.
The foreground and midst is one terrain, the background another.
For the foreground terrain I made use of several selections to apply different filters. What I like here is that the nearest foreground is smooth, due to the fact that I made it noisefree in GC2 with a height selection and noise set to (almost) zero.

Yes, the very smooth foreground is a great effect.
At all, it reminds me a bit at your famous Fiat Lux.
But I think, the middle part mountains are a bit to rough. And may be with thin flows, just visible, for the foreground, it may be even more convincing.

I like the distant peaks- they look very convincing- and the colouring in the foreground. Those deep dark colours really give it a sense of weight and cold. :)
