Another 8192 * 8192 terrain map and texture, rendered in Vue 6I. This time, I added a water plane.

It is really interesting to see, that you use the GC 2 texture maps inside Vue and that the results are remarkable.

Thanks ... yes, apart from the water plane, everything comes from GC2.

One feature that works very well, is that the lowest parts of the GC2 texture map are blue - this was done using a height selector, but these blue areas are all below the Vue water plane. However, this gives a greater depth to the pools by darkening the deepest parts of the pool, which creates a wonderful effect which I discovered by accident! I love accidental discovery in this process.

The salty layer was also done using a selector with a little fuzziness, and it came out better than I hoped.

I'm having great fun with this program!

My next challenge is to try to create a cracked earth effect, to have the mud curl up round the edges of the cracks.
