The new build is fantastic to say the least. I was testing the new thin flows sedimate filter and combined with the river tool with there deepness at a minimum i was able to get very close to what one sees out in The Great Basin in parts of Nevada.

The photo with the red circle is a good example of larger alluvial fans coming from steep rigid mountains. I was wondering sense you mentioned Snow and sand (with large fans) will it look somewhat in the likes of this example in the photo.

The other photo is of The Great Basin and very similar to the render example of mine below minus proper colors of course.

The example in the photo is a result of thermal erosion, which will also be implemented, with sand and snow a mean more a WorldMachine sedimentation.
In your example you can reduce the roughness, by using the erosion twice with a lower "more sediment" setting.
And your example also shows, that I have to readjust the deepness a bit, to get better control for lower deepness.

With thermal erosion in the photo to the right you mean? If that is the case then then makes sense. So there will be those types of alluvial fans implemented from the result of thermal erosion then.

World Machine sedimentation? I sopped using that program some time ago so i am afraid i do not know what you speak of.

So snow sedimentation would be like avalanches and glaciers?

This is an interesting page i found.

I will see, I have not yet written the algorithm.
