3d app to add trees & foilage to terragen (ter files)

Hello!
Does anyone know of a decent program for adding mass foilage/trees to ter files I create in geocontrol/world machine or terragen?
A program that is reasonable in price & will import ter files. I would not want a program that adds one tree at a time, something that can make as many trees as I need & place them where I want. I can then render it in either terragen or the 3d app that produces the trees.
