OK, I bought GeoControl. Works fine so far, no real problems. I especially like the presets from the professional landscape designers. Three questions really.

1. I saw at the web site, maybe I was mis-informed, that I could download a Beta version of GeoControl 2 with the iso lines, etc. I thought I'd installed it but I guess not, oh well.

2. This is the real question. I created a map at 512 (anything over that and it locks up my system). How do you go about painting it? I have Ultimate Unwrap 3D to create the UV map. I paint it using Deep Paint 3D. I do have a question about the real sharp elevations, such as the face of a cliff. When I use top view to unwrap it the cliff lines are real close and the paint smears. You professionals got any ideas here?

3. I would like to save it as a nurbs mesh, do any of GeoControl save options include a nurbs mesh?

I like it. The instructions are plain and easy to read, however, the presets are its real strong point.

1. Got the www.cajomi.de/GeoControl/geocontrol_news.htm.
There you find the download link for the pre-release.

2. For terrain shading it is not usually to use UV painting tools. Typical is projection from top. With the pre-release you can create textures for this. Create a 4096 terrain and the textures, and then export the terrain as 512 and the texture with 4096.

3. Nurbs are not supported.
