Next build of pre-release for all GeoControl1 owners and alpha testers:
This is a pre-release, that does mean, thatnot all bugs are fixed..
not all features, that will be in the final release are implemented.
some features are disabled, to ensure most possible stability.
the documentation is missing (only some short descriptions of the new tools).
the pre-release is time limited to 6 weeks.
it is free for all GC1 licensees (no matter, when they have purchased). You need your GC1 licence key for running it.
Download your pre-release (build 27) here.

The shop is still not online, I hope it will be in about 3 weeks. As long as you can not purchase GeoControl2, all GC1 owners get the time limited pre-release of the actual build.
When the shop is online, the pre-release will only be available for those, who purchased (upgrade) GeoControl 2.
Build 27 (history)
New features
Placed erosion:
This is a new option for all erosions and works together with the selections. If you use a selection for a erosion, you can now choose between "standard" and "placed". In opposite to "standard", this new option controls, where the eroions starts, but does not restricts, where it ends. It is equal to the spring placement of the "river and lake" tool. The glaciers in the image at the top are based on placed erosions.
Load isolines:
Load isolines allows the loading of all the isolines of a terrain setting. The layers are added to the actual iso layers. This makes it possible to create a set of "terrain layouts" which then can simply be loaded into an existing project. So may be you download a preset (with erosion settings) and then use a isoline layout for the basic shape.
Improvements
The erosions "Thin flows", "Thin flows fast" and "Thin flows invers" are deeply improved. The ersoions have now a greater range of results, mostly they are finer (more details) and can get deeper. "Thin flows fast" is no longer only a faster low quality version of "Thin flows", but it is a faster high quality alternative, with more crisp results. "Thin flows invers" is rewritten to enable the creation of sharp ridges.
Bug fixes
16bit tif export was broken, when a existing file was overwritten.
After the import of a terrain, the pwfilters were not acutalized, which could had caused a crash, if the actual terrain size was different to the imported terrain size.
Loading a preset with isolines could cause geocontrol to hang.
Have fun
