First off I really like the new GeoControl-2, that should sell really well. I'm going to buy it when it becomes available. Just a note, there are a few sentence structure errors, no problem but if you want the package to look professionally made these errors should be addressed. Also, why default to terraced?

My real question is how would I go about creating typical farm land, you know, sort of flat with some hills in the distance? All of the examples are of rugged mountains and such. You experts out there have any ideas?

With isolines you can tune the general shape of the terrain.

If you render an image with programs like Vue or Terragen, remember that you can have more than one terrain object. In your case, one rolling terrain for the farm land and one or more hills.

Bye!!!

First: Where are the sentences located?

Second: The heightfield of farmland is relative simple. To get a good farmland render all the other things are more important: You need additional plant objects, roads, buildings and so on. Also the shading can not only be done by slope/height selections, because farmland is mostly structured by human. So you need to make handdrawn selections.

Thanks everyone for the information.

Cajomi, here are a couple examples. I'm no English major but look theses over.

"If you have many filters enabled, and the generation take to long, use the slider "deactivate" filter on the "general" panel to deacitvate the filters while drawing."

"deactivate" also "takes too long"

"Noise filters: "Basic noise" and "Selective noise" - the "noise control" filter was removed. In general, als long a no selection is used, the "Selective Filter" is used."

",as long as"

"If the same erosion type is used more than one time, each erosion produces a own flowmap."

"its own flowmap."

"A erosion can be proceeded in its own selection (the selection starts with the first level after the first run of the erosion)"

Probably "An erosion" would work better.

"Soft fluvial and Thin Tlows/Thin Flows Fast are deeply improved. In general there is no more need to use the "Add Noise" filter to avoid to straight flows."

Did you mean "too straight a flow." or two flows."?

Soft Fluvial and Thins Flows can now prodcuse Mäander like flows (mostly visible with a flowmap).

"produce"

It is using now a semi-scientific algorithm, which simulates realistic sedimentation, caused by fluvial erosion (including small fans).

"It is now using"

The water system is losseless, not really realistic, but better for rendering.

"Losseless" is not a word.

"This may be sensful to control the amount of water."

"useful"

"Best is first to search for the deepest lake and then to play a bit with higher values and look for the best result."

"It's best to first search"

"The dry typ produces the dried out rivers. Use this rivers in combination with the "water rised" typ, to combine two terrains, one for the water and one for the terrain and river beds."

Did you mean "type"? also "raised"

"The "springs" map, which shows the single flows, the "mask" map, for masking all water parts, the "deep" map, shows the deepness of the water and the "bank" map, for additinal control over the river banks."

"additional"

"I decided not to use bezier curves or b-spline, because both are not the easyest to handle."

"easiest"

"Here the controls:"

"Here are the controls:"

"For adding points to the end of the line. With this tool the drawing of the line starts. After clicking into the 2dview, you can move the point as long as you do not release the mouse button."

"2D view"

"Deletes the nearest point to the mosueposition."

"mouse position"

"A value from 0 to 100, which is then multiplicated with the "Faktor for span".

"multiplied" "factor"

"The faktor start with 0.01, most left, and then encreases with 10 for every step, so 0.1, 1, 10 up to 10000."

"factor" "increases"

"Follow, which means, the vector follows the terrain height and follow forced slope, which means, that the vector follows the terrain height, but produced a continous downwords slope."

"downward"

"Additional to the usual selections height and slope, GeoControl offers a
Improved orientation selection:"

No cap on improved. Also GeoControl offers an improved"

The renderer uses a shadow and texure map, which are caculated separatly.

"texture" "calculated" and "separately"

Also you use too many commas. I really like your produce and want it to go over well.

Thank you for that corrections.
I already have a corrector for improving the english text, but I forget to let her improve the new text.

btw I know, that I am using too much commas.
