Hello,
If this has been answered in another thread please direct me and that will be that.:)
I understand that this probably opens a can of worms but...
What are the strengths and weaknesses of each renderer. I use Carrara 6 Pro (with the GroundControl plugin) and Vue 6 Esprit and have access to (but rarely use) Terragen and Bryce 6 and am constantly second guessing which renderer to use for a landscape. If Carrara had Vue's skies my choice would be easy. I've looked at the galleries here and see excellent renders from all programs. While I understand that skill is the most important aspect of creating a scene, the renderer seems to have great bearing as well.
Which renderer(s) do you use and why/when. Since acquiring GC1 and now GC2 beta I am much more active in creating landscapes and and would appreciate the wisdom of those who have been at it longer than me.
Michael
