from cajomi - bad news

Hallo,
ich bin die Frau von Johannes Rosenberg alias cajomi. Ich habe schlechte Nachrichten. Mein Mann hatte letzte Woche einen schweren Unfall. Er liegt zurzeit im Krankenhaus und muss anschließend in eine Reha-Klinik.
Er wird in einigen Wochen wieder fit sein. Bitte habt solange Geduld und Nachsicht.
Er hat mir zu verstehen gegeben, dass die Beta-Version in den nächsten Tagen auslaufen wird. Ich würde gerne versuchen sie zu verlängern, weiß aber nicht wie. Vieleicht kann irgend jemand von euch mir dabei helfen.
Da mein Englisch sehr schlecht ist müsste es auf Deutsch oder Italienisch sein. Am Tag bin ich im Krankenhaus, aber abends kann man mich telefonisch erreichen unter der Nummer: 0049 - 0201 - 226734.

I am the wife of Johannes Rosenberg alias cajomi. I have bad news. My husband had an accident last week. He is in hospital at the moment and after that he must go in a rehabilitation clinic.
He wil have been recovered in a few weeks. Pleas be patient and forbearance until then.
The actual beta version is running out in the next few days. I tried to prolong it, but i dont no how. Is there anybody, to give me an advice or support? Would you give me your answer in return in german or italian pleas, because my english is terrible.

Mein Deutsch ist nicht ganz gut (ich bin Französisch), ich hoffe aber Sie versehen mich :) I wünsche Johannes das beste und hoffe er leidet nicht zu viel. Er sollte sich wirklich keine sorge wegen des betas machen, obwhol wir nun ein wenig "abhängig" geworden sind (das ist so ein tolles program) ich bin sicher, für die meistens von uns, seine gesundheit ist viel witchtiger :). Alles mein bestes zu ihm und ich hoffe er ist bald wider ok und ohne leide :)

Non si preoccupi minimamente per il programma. La salute ed il recupero di suo marito vengono prima di qualsiasi altra questione. Spero con tutta l'anima che non ci siano dei "problemi" permanenti...

Das Problem mit der Beta halte ich für nachrangig.
Wir haben GC1 gekauft, bezahlt und bekommen, die
Beta ist GC2.

Ich kenne mich mit der Registry nicht so gut aus und
wer weiss, ob Johannes wirklich will, dass jemand in
seinen Code reinschaut.

Falls die Verlängerung der Beta wirklich so wichtig ist,
gibt es im deutschen Purebasic Forum bestimmt Leute,
die das hinbekommen (und auch im Ruhrgebiet wohnen).

its so weired I started writing in this forum and didnt get any reply and I feared the worst and thuoght mabe something had happed to him, since everyone have told me he really replied to all posts. Hopefully he will recover.

Sono la moglie di Johannes Rosemberg, alias cajomi. Ho brutte notizie. Mio marito ha avuto un incidente la settimana scorsa. Attualmente è in ospedale e, successivamente, dovrà andare presso una clinica riabilitativa.
Resterà ricoverato per alcune settimane. Nel frattempo, vi prego di avere un pò pazienza fino al suo ritorno.
La versione beta attuale cesserà di funzionare entro poche settimane. Vorrei provare a prolungare la durata, ma non so come fare. C'è per caso qualcuno che mi possa aiutare o dare dei consigli in merito? Potreste darmi delle risposte in tedesco, oppure in italiano, poichè il mio inglese è terribile.

Unglücklicherweise sind wir durch die ausgelaufene Beta in großen Schwierigkeiten, da wir nächsten Dienstag eine Deadline für unser aktuelles Projekt haben, und wir sind absolut auf GeoControl2 angewiesen. Alle unsere erstellten Presets sind für diese Version, und wir haben keine Zeit um uns jetzt einen anderen Workflow auszudenken.
Das ist für mich eine sehr blöde Situation, da ich persönlich ganz klar die Priorität auf die Genesung von Johannes lege, allerdings fürchte ich, dass der Fernsehsender für den wir das Redesign machen, da weniger Nachsicht haben wird. Unfortunately we are in deep trouble that the beta stopped working, because we are completely dependent on GC2, we created all our presets for CG2 and there is simply no time to change the entire workflow in a couple of days, because our final Deadline is on Tuesday.
I feel very uncomfortable in that situation, because for me personally it's by far more important that Johannes recovers from his accident and takes his time to do so, but our clients are breathing down my neck, and I don't really expect them to see the matter the way I do. So if any of you has an idea how I can make the Beta work again, please PN me or drop me an email to paul <ät> metaphrenie.com

ich bin gerade von meinem Trip nach Berlin zurück und war geschockt solch eine schlechte Nachricht zu lesen! Ich hoffe, daß Johannes sehr bald wieder gesund ist und er sich schnell erholt. Alles andere (Beta) ist unwichtig.

Ich und der Rest vom Mechwarrior Team wünschen Johannes eine gute Besserung und schnelle Genesung!

You should never use a time limited beta of a program in a commercial environment unless you can be 100% sure of prolonging the limit on it in an emergancy. You got lucky this time as they managed to extend it, but it's a lesson for the future (for anyone who's using it in a commercial way right now).

Not to mention bugs that can creep into a beta more often than a completed version. It's just too risky for commercial use.

Ich hoffe wirklich, dass Johannes allright, es scheint wie eine lange Zeit ist, da es alle mögliche Nachrichten gab. Der späteste Betabau ist, ein viel versprechendes Zeichen aber hat jedes, das alle mögliche Nachrichten erhalten wird?

I really hope Johannes is allright, it seems like a long time since there was any news. The latest beta build is a promising sign but has anybody got any news?
