Hi,
until now, there is only a Beta available of GC2. If you want to download and use it, you must first install GC1.
We will inform all, when the Version is final.

How long can i use the beta version of GC2 once i register my GC1 copy. Is it until GC2 comes live or is it a time delay. How long can i use GC2 before it comes out officially?

Thanks in advance.

It's now August 31st 08.
Am I too late for any pre-release or anything like that?

I want to get this program but am a bit confused on these sorts of things, since the forums doesn't quite match up to the actual GeoControl web site on time lines and limits and such.

Thanx.............................md :)

If you're looking for special priced pre release of GC2, there wont be any. A special priced upgrade to GC2 was offered almost a year ago but now, if your purchase GC1 you will get GC2 as an upgrade by paying the price difference.

Or you can just wait and buy GC2 directly in two weeks for the full price.

So, thats fine with me.
I kinda thought it looked like I missed out, though there are far to many confusing statements on the web site as well as in the forums here that lead you to believe that the beta ending cycle was today and that you can already buy the thing for $95 bucks, which at the same time, the web site makes out like the thing is also still in beta mode and that there is a pre-release deal going on.
Obviously, the site I guess hasn't been updated in a very VERY long time then, correct?

And I also read that, if I buy the v1 that I will automatically get the v2 just as soon as it is fully released.

See why it makes it hard to tell whats up? :)

Anyway, I don't mind paying the $95 bucks for the thing, as long as that is the real price?

OK, thanx.........................md :)

Afaik the price is 129€. But atm the dollar euro change rate is relativly good for dollar and the dollar could even continue rising in value.

Buying software online was so nice when 1 € was worth 1.6$. Bought the valve complete pack with every game they ever made for 70 €. Thats not that much above the price of one normal game.

The price for GC1 is posted at 59 euro. The price for GC2's upcoming release is posted as 159 euro. The price for upgrading from version 1 to 2 is the difference between the two (100 euro). I don't see where the confusion comes from-its stated rather explicitly.

OK, to possibly help clarify my original questions about all this, I've decided to post the same thing I have now sent to JR@cajomi.de twice, but so far with no replies from him or anyone else yet.

So, I might as well post my concerns all here directly from the email/s I've sent off.

Hi, I have been checking out your really awesome program at your site and want
to know if I can still order at the pre-release pricing or what exactly is the latest scoop?
Cuz the site looks like maybe it hasn't been updated lately, so I can't tell what the real story is on this program?
I am in the USA and want to order this neat little program, but want to make sure of all
these things first and how the pricing works out for me over here and all that?
What I am currently seeing, is that in US Dollars, it's about $95.95 for the GeoControl 1 program.
but, does this cover the pricing for the GeoControl 2 as well?
Or what is the total amount to purchase the full version GeoControl 2 version, which is what I want to buy?
Please, please reply and help me out with these issues :)
I have been looking over some programs but can't make a decision until I hear from you how much it will cost me for the v2?
Edit: This is the link to the v1 of the program, but can't be for sure from this if this means I'll be getting the v2 of the program, since the link that takes you to this is from the GeoControl 2 page.
Click here (http://www.shareit.com/product.html?productid=300067446&stylefrom=300067446&backlink=http%3A//www.cajomi.de/GeoContro/geocontrol_shop.htm&pc=cnhgb) to see USA pricing for those who are still quoting to me the euro.
And in either case, I just want to know how much will the TOTAL FINAL AMOUNT be for me to get teh version 2 of the program, which I can't seem to find anything telling us how much that will be?

My plans for using this program in case you care, is to make better terrains than what we currently are able to
do in Vue6 and I want to bring the terrains into Vue and all that, if that is what this thing can be used for that is?
And I read a review by Paula Sanders I think it was and she said the manual was in German, is there one for English too?

I'm going to go and check out the forum link that I see at your site in the mean time while I wait for a reply.

Thanx any and all info that you can give me on this too :)
And in case you want to bother, you can check out my latest Vue renders here:
http://www.md-arts.com/galleries/vue_renders/galleries.html

And for more larger renderings of my last render, you can just click on these two links here:

http://www.md-arts.com/x/Desert_Peace_1600_01.jpg
Click on the images if they auto scale to fit your screen size, or just to be sure that you are viewing them at their full rez :)

BTW, I've watched ALL of your tutorials and really love them and they give a very good idea of how the program works
and can be used to do wondrous things with and your Road tutorial and the Flow demo really show what can be done.

OK, thanx and I can't wait to hear from you......................md :)

Hey there Mark,

I hope this worked out for you. As you know from the galleries and the tutorials, there's really nothing else out there that has the level of landscape creation control that's present in GC2. Back when I first got GC1, it was for the same reasons as you have described (also for use with Cinema 4D and modo as well as Vue). And with the introduction of the 16-bit TIFF export in GC2, I finally had a format that I could use for all my applications. It would be awesome if Cajomi can go further and even make a 32-bit grayscale TIFF export (if that is even a real permutation for the TIFF file format). I'm still craving more than 16-bit depth in my Cinema 4D displacement maps.

I sure hope you were able to get GC2. I look forward to what you can do with it. See you at the usual hangouts... (e-on & Lux forums)

Oh, there you are, Jeff!? LOL
Guess I did miss your posting from way back when hahaha
As you now already can tell, I am absolutely enjoying this completely truly awesome killer app!
Best terrain creation program I've ever seen or heard of out there, as far as I can tell and am concerned.
And yeah, guess it took the special to get me out and make the jump, as I have been putting all my money into my new system that I've slowly been building, which as you also now know is all finally finished.
Thus the reason for me being able to now get this program :)

Sadly, this whole week I just haven't had two seconds of time to get back to playin with the thing, so I am hoping I can get to it again sometime during this weekend.
Well, trust me, I'll MAKE time to get back to it hehehe

Get these idiot chores out of the way and that'll do it for me.

I'm mostly dieing to post my first rendering, but I just want to get through ALL the tutorials first, before I go posting anything.
And BTW, I know this may sound really weird to you or anyone else, but on my way back from the doc's office the other day, I noticed some cliffs on the side of a hill farther away from where I was, it was one near Del Mar and the ocean, but anyway, I instantly got to thinking how I would go about creating that in GC2 and I (not kidding here) litterally started to see IsoLines drawn along the cliff edges and near where there is the old highway LOL
TRUE!
That's as bad as the whole 3D in general deal, where if you've been doing it long enough, you see fractals in the clouds and complain that God is having a rough day deciding which fractal to use or something hahaha and see texture maps in almost anything you look at around you LOL

Now when I start to see "Levels" in terrrains, that's when it'll be really bad hehehe
