3ds max+Dreamscape Import ERROR

Purchased GC some minutes ago to use it with my 3dsmax/dreamscape config, but this seems to be a no go!
If I try to import the .TER file created by GC in dreamscape 2.5b within 3ds max 8 SP3 an "Invalid Terragen file!" dreamscape-message appears! See also attachment... :(

Do you have another ter file, for example from Terragen, to test, whether GC or Dreamscape is causing this error?

Opening .TER files created by Terragen just works fine! So the problem must be within GC :confused:

That is not so easy. GC uses the acutal new ter standard format. It is well opened by all applications, importing ter files.
It looks like I have to contact Sitni Sati, to find, why the GC files are not recognized.
At all, it will be faster, if I change the ter files, or add a special Dreamscape export, to match what dreamscaper wants.
So far I can only apologize, to work with a step between, just openíng the ter files in terragen (if you have the registered version) and then save them again.

I will inform you, what Sitni Sati has answered.

Dreamscape support had just told, that they want to fix the problem, it is caused by them, for the next update.
I think, that is a bit late, so I try to get the specifications from them and adjust GC to Dreamscape.

The problems are found (Dreamscaper does not take into account, that some values of a ter file are optional, and so are not in all ter files) , and with the next update GC will export the ter files so, that Dreamscaper has no more problems with importing.
But the next update will take some time.
I can offer you a between update. But it may have some bugs, it is just in developement. Tell me, whether you can live with the way over Terragen, opening and saving, to get the terrains into Dreamscaper.
