Upgrade is beta?

Why have I been charged for a beta version? I think this is wrong.

Will I get the full release version once it's completed at no extra cost?

No, it is a beta. But, it is very stable. It's just missing some features which will be added in the future for no extra cost. I've used it for many hours in the last couple of weeks and it works great.

Well unfortunately I haven't received my activation code. Look I still think it's ridiculous to be selling a beta version, can you imagine adobe or any other software company doing that. I don't think so, just look at crazy bump how long their beta versions were free until he got it right. It's just plain and simple wrong to be selling a software that is not yet fully completed. Honestly you can't tell me that you disagree.

I disagree. I really wouldn't think of this as a beta version in the usual sense. I think it's a very stable, finished piece of software that has some fundamental upgrades from version 1. He's just promising to add some more features for free in the future. I feel that the purchase was well worth the fairly small price and any additional free features will just be icing on the cake.

Also, I wouldn't compare Adobe. It seems like I just spent over $700 on a CS3 upgrade and another expensive one is here already, only I can't see that I'll be able to do any more with it other than open files from other people who also paid a lot of money.

I disagree, this software is much more stable than some full release software and most definately other technology previews, I dont regret one second buying geocontrol 2. And the special initial discount offer was only avaible for the preview. Also some companies like DICE (Battlefield 2, BF bad company) have already used it in production even before it was avaible in a non time limited version.

What special offer discount ? There was a page that appeared and disappeared very quickly before diverting to the homepage.

Look I understand it's stable and all but there is a beta sticker on it which to me it means still working on it. Plus the project feature is disabled until the finished product comes online. There's no doubt about it that it is a good product and I like yourselves am one of the first customers of GC. I just think having a beta sticker on it is not good for business, it's easy for us veterans of GC1 who knows the product and have confidence in it's ability but what about the others out there who are new to it. When they see beta alarm bells will be ringing in their heads and that's not good for business.
Again let's go back to crazy bump I've been using their beta for over a year and it too was very stable and very much free for that time period. When the product was completed he disabled the beta the version which meant anyone who had it couldn't use it. Which was fine by us because we all bought it and everyone was happy. Still I use it and love it and I will use it with GC2. I hope you understand the point I'm trying to make.

The price you and I payed is a discounted introductionary price, It was stated very clearly that this is a technology preview so honestly I dont know what youre on to.

wait a minute what do you mean a discount preview, are you telling me I just paid for a sneak preview? lol You couldn't mean that, ok it can't be that, I'll be open minded and ask when the final release get's released we will get that for free. Am I right?

Yes by purchasing the Geocontrol 2 beta/technology preview/whatever you get also the full version of Geocontrol 2 when released, but as Cajomi has said that will not be priced 119€ like the introductionary price, but around 180€. That was one of the reasons i bought this version, It will be cheaper for me than buying later, also I need a non time limited geocontrol 2 for production.
