Problems with the download for windwos vista are solved.

i downloaded and installed build 39 but it kept showing build 38 i then downloaded the full program but it is now asking for my name and then license number which i do not have could you please resend the neccessary details for me to re install geo control thank you terry

I'm having problems installing the latest build -- 39.

My setup is Parallels using Windows XP on an Intel IMac. That is where I've always installed GC and those installations have gone well and GC works fine.

When I just tried -- twice -- to install the update, during the Installing Data phase I get three error messages which I will attach to this post. In each case I hit the Retry button and the install proceeded.

The problem is that when I then invoke GC it tells me that it is Build 38 instead of 39 so it appears that the upgrade didn't work. There are no other errors or problems.

Suggestions?

I'm also having problems. I installed build 39 with three error messages and when I start GeoControl2 it still shows build 38.

Thats okay, I forgott to change the name. The exe shows build before (build 38), but is the build 39.

When it is running, it is okay :)

I don't have Vista, but am running XP, so I think I'll wait until build 40 before trying again.

It seems to me that both of you have installed the wrong option.

There are two 'exe' downloads; one is for those, that purchased Geo-Control 2, and the other is for those that upgraded from Geo-Control 1.

My guess is that you both qualify for the upgrade from Geo-Control 1 version.

That was the problem.
My fault

I installed the update of build 39 over build 38and it did ask some questions on whether I wanted th replace some items. I said yes to all and it installed fine. It does say build 38 but Cajomi explained that in this thread. I am using Vista ultimate 64-bit.
