Vollständige Version anzeigen : Working with projects
Hello Johannes, I think that a tutorial on how to work with projects would be useful. It's a little confusing in getting to know GeoControl because even though its tab panels are set out like for instance a Photoshop, there is actually a hidden workflow between those tabs which is not immeditely apparent; so you think that you are at liberty to switch between the tabs however you want, but that's not the case.
I'm looking to set up a 4096 project by importing a 4096 terrain. I'm going to add layers to the terrain. What are the steps for this?
GeoControl is to be included with an upcoming ME-DEM article/tutorial so anything I can learn here may make it into that.
Cheers,

Hello Monks,
I think there are more then one tut neaded. I am working at version 1.04, with much improved brushes, may be, I will then write some basic tuts.
So to your question:
Open a new project
change to terrain panel and import the terrain (the layers hold each one terrain, which is defined in the terrain panel)
change to project panel, and add a layer
select the added layer, and change to terrain panel, to modify this layer/terrain
and so on
I hope this helps
Thanks. I did work it out after about ten minutes so it wasn't too painful. :)
Oooh, new brushes eh?
monks
the brush is complete reworked:
three forms: flat, squared, round (all with adjustable blending, bye bye squares and edges!)
and a innovative new manipulation method ( I have tested it to draw ridges or valleys, much more easy then before, no need for use of the limiter)
the new brush only manipulates one point in the start level (the old changes four points)
Oh wow. I am definatley looking foward to this. Good work Cajomi........ :)
Cool! The square edges were not that much of a problem, though it did add time to your work. GeoControl is already very quick, so this will make it quicker. I especially like the sound og the valley and ridge painting. This ia at the level that I like to work if I can.
This all sounds great!
Also, do you have to set Terrain Protection BEFORE you go and set the filters in Terrain Shape panel?
