I purchased version 2 through Cornucopia (build 41). Build 49 simply crashes on takeoff! I used the "user..." version. Granted, I assumed it was a patch, and had 41 and 49 installed. Tried to uninstall and crashed Win 7 Pro 64-bit installer (first time that's happened to me). Manually cleaned out the files, and reinstalled the Cornucopia build 41, and it works fine.
So, what's going on here?

Thanks for your help,

-Lou

First: not update tool, take full install

Second: Try both, user and master tool.

I have been trying the different builds when they are out and I must say that build 41 is still my favorite one and it's still the one I use. All the other builds since 41 have brought me problems, in one way or another. For example, build 49 is much slower than build 41. On the same computer, build 49 takes longer than build 41 for many functions. Does anyone else feel the same thing?

My CPU is an i7 930, I have 12GB RAM and a Nvidia GTX470, on Windows7 64 bits.

Johannes, do you plan on making use of multicore technology? It's increasingly common. My CPU has 8 cores and Geocontrol2 never takes my CPU usage above 12% or 13%, which is a waste of processing power.

Oh yes, but others things are more imported. Let us speak about three months.

For your information, cajomi: The build seems to work fine (when opening the programme, I've not done any further testing).

However, the uninstallation process always fails on my system.

I've installed both the admin and user versions of the software.

1st and 2nd attempt: UAC activated.

3rd and 4th attempt: UAC deactivated.

No updates. Fresh installs.

OS: Windows 7 x64 (German), 1 standard user account.
