Default Standard, Placed, and Weighted Selections

Hi.

First let me say, what an amazing piece of software GeoControl 2 is. I love it.

With regard to Standard, Placed, and Weighted Selection types within the Erosion Filters...

I've looked all around but could find no information regarding these options. I noticed the website mentions these features but its in German. Tried a translator but I couldn't make sense of it. I've also experimented with these selection types. I noticed differences in the rendered terrain but could not discern what they were doing. What exactly do each of these selection options do?

In addition, Invert is easily understood but what does Maskmode do?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

it does only work with enabled filters:

Standard: it is the easy selection - choose the selection and the only run where enabled, not outside the enabled selection

Placed: put the selection only the thoose, which are enabled, but lets they run outside

Weighted: let they run in the selectioned region, but they are weighted (numbers of percents), and they else outside the selected regions

Maskmode: everywhere choose 100%

Thanks for the quick reply cajomi. Once again, this is a great program you have here. Keep up the great work.

** Edit **

Silly me...

Just realized I could have clicked the British flag at the top of the website to get the english version of the selection descriptions.
